In comparison to the US, purchasing an iPhone 15 is now less expensive in India. Here’s how

You may be surprised to learn that buying an iPhone 15 in India is now more affordable and practical than in the US. This is because of the several promotions and discounts that can be found on online retailers like Flipkart, which have led to a reduced starting price for the iPhone 15 series. It’s crucial to remember that this only applies to the ordinary models since the Pro series is still somewhat pricey in India.

We can make this claim since the iPhone 15 cost Rs 79,900 when it was first released in India, around Rs 13,000–14,000 more than it did when it was sold in the US. The basic edition of the iPhone 15, with 128GB of storage, is now available for a much lower price of around Rs 65,000, making it more reasonable than its retail price in the US, thanks to a number of deals and incentives.

In the US, the retail cost of the 128GB iPhone 15 model is $799, not including sales tax. The price conversion to Indian rupees after sales tax is deducted is between Rs 70,000 and Rs 72,000. It is crucial to remember that not every state in the union levies a sales tax. It is clear that the pricing of the iPhone 15 128GB in the US is between Rs 5,000 and Rs 7,000 more than what is currently available in India (around Rs 65,000).

This assertion is bolstered by a recent Flipkart sale that is selling the iPhone 15 for Rs 65,999. When paired with bank incentives, the total effective price drops to around Rs 62,224, which is about Rs 9,000 to 10,000 less than the US pricing. Furthermore, this isn’t a one-time deal—for the last month or two, the iPhone 15 has been available for less than Rs 70,000.

However, this isn’t the case with the iPhone 15 Pro models, which are still priced around Rs 50,000 more in India at Rs 1,34,900, which is close to the MRP.

There are no physical SIM slots in US models.

The simplicity that comes with having a real SIM card slot is another benefit of buying an Indian device. Apple has abandoned the conventional SIM slot in favor of eSIM in the United States. For many people, especially those who travel regularly and need to be able to switch SIM cards, this might be a deal-breaker.

Therefore, we suggest buying the stock iPhone 15 from India if that’s your preference. The devices available for purchase in the nation are not only made domestically, but they are also more reasonably priced and include a SIM card slot.
